Step Four: Closing the Sale, Mounts & Bands
Step Four
.) Deselect the two diamonds that your client did not pick in the Diamond Viewer and select two diamonds with similar grades but in larger sizes to allow your client to continue comparing and contrasting by size.
.) As you place diamonds back in the case, place them in upside down to indicate that this diamond was show that day.
.) Select the larger diamonds from the case and pull them up in the Diamond Viewer. Clean them and place them on the display pad as you did with the original diamonds.
.) Continue to educate your client on the 5 C’s and help them hone in on which diamond is the best for them.
.) Close the sale by asking for the sale. If the client is not ready to buy, gather their information with permission to follow up.
.) If your client is looking for a fancy shape diamond, guide them through the fancy shape grid or use their preferences from the Diamond Tasting to bring in diamonds on memo from a vendor.
.) Now it’s time to mount the diamond. Diamond Bar displays five classic styles of round settings (4-prong solitaire, 6-prong solitaire, solitaire with diamonds, three-stone and halo) in both yellow and white gold in sizes ranging from 0.50ct-2ct. For fancy shapes, each shape is offered in three setting styles (solitaire, solitaire with diamonds or halo) in white gold in sizes ranging from 0.50ct-2ct.
.) Place the setting beside the diamond the client has selected so they can picture what the two will look like together.
.) Help you client discover the variety of styles of wedding bands and aide them in styling their selected mounting and wedding band together.
